3v3 Started in the Streets
3v3 football started in the streets and schoolyards. Just a ball, a few friends, and endless creativity. No positions, no sidelines, just pure love for the game. It’s how many of the world’s best players first fell in love with football.

Clubs and federations across Europe saw the value. Fewer players and smaller fields mean more touches, quicker decisions, and real development. It builds skill, confidence and passion. When you're just starting out, the key is having fun with the ball. 3v3 makes that possible like no other format.

Now, 3v3 has officially arrived in Australia, giving players the same chance to grow and play the game the way it was meant to be played.
3v3 Rules
The Field

The field is approximately 10 meters wide and 15 meters long.

The goals are 125 cm wide and 75 cm high.​​

Game Rules​

Match duration is 8 minutes.

Kick-off is taken by the first-listed team in the match schedule.

If the ball goes out of play, the opposing team restarts with a kick-in from where the ball went out.

No corner kicks are played. Regardless of who touches the ball last over the goal line or ball net, it results in a goal kick.

Slide tackles and rough play are not allowed and result in a free kick.

Minimum distance to the nearest opponent on kick-ins and free kicks is 3 meters.

All free kicks are indirect.

Goals can be scored from anywhere on the field.

Handball results in a free kick.

No penalty kicks are used. All fouls result in free kicks.

After a goal is scored, play restarts from the center, and opposing players must retreat to their own half, at least 3 meters away from the ball.

Substitutions are flying (no stoppage in play). Substitutions must take place at midfield, and the player being subbed out must leave the field before the new player enters.

A free kick is awarded if a player holds onto the sideboards to shield the ball.

All teams are guaranteed at least 5 matches.​​​
